"Farmstead 1868 Tour"
11:00 a.m., 4690 Shephards Rd., Cazenovia
Meet Monica Cody and visit Fenner's 2 acres of Farmstead 1868 lavender during peak bloom. Ask questions, peruse the Silo Shop and White House Shop. Pick your own fresh bundle of lavender to take home ($10). Bring a lunch and sit at the field side or stroll to the Cody Farms heifer facility to learn how our dairy farm and lavender farm work side-by-side to promote local products and environmental sustainability.

This is your chance to visit nearly 20 working farms and meet local farmers! Enjoy farm tours, demonstrations, animals, product tastings and more.

"Sky High Turf Farm Tour"
11:00 a.m., Sky High Turf Farm, 8072 Lakeport Road, Chittenango, NY
Join us as we tour the Sky High Turf Sod Farm in Chittenango, NY where they have grown quality turfgrass since 1989 and have become a major producer for Central and Upstate New York. There is much more to the process than just sowing seed and hoping for the best! The Coulter family has been farming for many generations - at one time Sky High was one of the largest onion growers in the Northeast. As of 2023, Sky High Farms grows 400 acres of sod along with +/- 300 acres of corn and soy beans.

Bring in an item or two for sale priced at $5 or $10. Sell a treasure and maybe buy a new one! Sale proceeds will go to the Garden Club.

"Field Trip to Foothills Flower Farm - Pumpkin Centerpiece"

We'll have fun making a floral arrangement in a pumpkin! Patti Fowler, owner of Foothills Flower Farm, will show us how. Bring a pumpkin (pre-carved or carve on site). Cost is $25 per person for materials.

“Aquatic Plants and Snorkel Gardens”

Dr. Thad Yorks is a senior planner with the Madison County Planning Department. He previously served as a professor of environmental biology at Cazenovia College, where he taught aquatic biology, wetlands ecology, and field botany. In his current position, his work is largely focused on county lakes, parks and streams. His presentation will highlight some of the interesting aspects of aquatic plants and a modest proposal for a "CNY Snorkel Garden Trail".
